Applying a Faux Finish - My Unique Technique

I am applying a faux finish accent wall with a unique sponge technique that doesn't look like sponge when it's finished.

I apply several coats of different colors and the final finish looks natural - not spongy. The finished look also has depth.

I incorporate different colors into this technique depending on your room and the look you want.

When the colors for each separate layer of one finish are close to each other, the look is more subtle. Some home owners like a more intense look with different colors as you will see in some of the other faux images of jobs I've completed.
